Is a van provided? Can I work with my own van?
A van can be provided by the company if you don’t own one. Company vans are usually not older than 3 years and are comprehensively insured. You can also work with your own van as long as it meets the contract requirements, such as having at least a 5 SQM capacity and no windows in the back compartment. Additionally, you need Courier insurance (for hire and reward), goods in transit worth £25,000, and public liability worth £5 million.
Can I use the van on my days off?
Depending on the contract, you can usually use the van on your days off as long as you provide the fuel for personal usage.
How long does the process take for a driver to start working?
It depends mostly on the CRB results, but usually, within 1-2 weeks, the driver completes training and starts delivering.
Is training paid?
Yes, depending on the contract, training is paid at different rates.
How long are the routes?
Usually, the routes are scheduled for 9 hours with a 30-minute break, depending on the contract.
How many stops on a route?
The number of stops varies from contract to contract, ranging between 20 and 180. Experienced drivers usually complete routes within 9 hours or less.
What are the payment terms?
Payments are usually made in the third week after providing services for a full week, which starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. This may vary from contract to contract.
What qualifications do I need to become a delivery driver?
You need a valid UK driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check. Some contracts may have additional requirements.
What support is provided to drivers?
We offer continuous support, including initial training, route planning assistance, and ongoing communication to ensure your success and satisfaction.
